The only salary data available comes from two annual vendor-sponsored PDFs (Consensus and Reprise), both gated behind email forms and both produced by companies that sell to SEs. Independent tool reviews are almost nonexistent. Career path data is scattered across Slack threads and informal conversations.

Over 15+ years in B2B sales and revenue leadership at Salesforce, Microsoft, Snapdocs (Sequoia-backed), and Datajoy (acquired by Databricks), Rome has worked alongside and led SE teams across complex enterprise deals. He holds an MBA from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business.
